We absolutely loved this hotel - really amazing and unique design fusion of industrial loft features with some very nostalgic homey touches. The ready to be adopted teddy bears in each room are also a unique touch, have never come across anything quite like that. Location is perfect too - very central, right next to an underground station, buses, and a central train station. Very close to some major attractions, and everything else can be reached by public transport. Breakfast selection was very good, a decent choice of traditional and healthy options, even had coloured Easter eggs and Easter pudding on Easter Sunday. A bit of a downer was a lack of a decent coffee machine, so you'd need to pay extra for anything other than a generic coffee from a jar. Sauna is available to the guests, and it is quite nice, but you do need to book it in advance, which is a bit of a downer as usually you'd expect it to just be up an running for people to pop in as and when needed. Dinner a la carte was good too, thoroughly enjoyed the food, but service took absolute ages we were really exhausted and nearly cancelled the desserts due to the waiting time. The overall hotel feel and spirit has saved it though, so I'm still giving it 5 stars.

Having read other reviews and then waited until we were in our next hotel to write this with a comparison to a large chain hotel we can say the Freys was superior and only 3m sq less space. The Freys had large toiletries (enough for 3 adults) whereas our next large chain hotel had small single use plastic bottles that were barely enough for one and we had to request more. A small kitchenette with microwave, coffee machine and usable fridge was a bonus. There was an iron & board as well as hairdryer, laptray and Bluetooth speaker. We only used the restaurant for breakfast which had a wide variety of hot and cold options including breads, pastries, cereals, cold meats & cheese as well as other items. The shower although small was sufficient and is in a wet room so the door could possibly be left ajar. Soundproofed rooms, quiet hotel, easy access to transport just enhanced the experience. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay, we will recommend you to all and if we come back to Stockholm would stay again.

Although it was a disappointment to discover our room lacked space and did not even have a wardrobe, our stay at Freys nevertheless turned out to be a success, because of its quiet, its cleanliness, its friendly and very helpful staff, the excellent breakfast buffet and its convenient location at only 50 m distance from the Atlanta Express platform (with immediate access!) at Stockholm Central Station. These advantages fully outweighed the one minor point (i.e. the cramped room). We warmly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Frey hotel for three nights .. it’s centrally located but be prepared for small rooms .. no closet space .. interesting shower configuration. Every time I walked past the TV , I hit my elbow as there is barely a foot and half space between the end and wall mounted Tv . The staff is courteous but the small room … not my place of choice for next time .

The Freys hotel is well situated and we used the train to and from the airport, as the station is 5 minutes walk away. Nice breakfast in a pleasant restaurant area. Hotel is clean and well maintained. It looks like the restaurant is nice in the evening but pre-booking is required, hence we didn’t try it. The room was small and we couldn’t unpack our cases due to lack of wardrobe space. The beds needed new mattresses as the bed dipped a bit in the middle. Overall would recommend for a value for money stay in Stockholm
